David Edgar is one of Britain’s foremost political playwrights. 
He has written for The Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Theatre, repertory theatres and touring companies. 
He founded the University of Birmingham’s MA in Playwriting Studies and was appointed Professor of Playwriting Studies in 1995.
